Ancient Landscapes
Technology & Systems / Exhibition
Film and sound for Salisbury Museum’s Ancient Landscapes, a journey through prehistoric terrain reimagined in video. Looping 3D stone forms were created from photogrammetry scans of Avebury’s standing stone megaliths, blending raw field recordings with digital reconstruction.
At the centre sat Heavy Weight Dub Plates, a multi-screen video installation on eternal looped rotation. The piece combined evolving dub sound and archaic imagery to evoke the layered histories embedded into ancient terrain, positioning technology as a tool for preservation and reanimating deep time, into the present, technology as both archaeologist and dream machine.
