Festival Forte
Art / Design / Identity
Held down Art Direction for Festival Forte in Portugal, a space where techno meets architecture, and sound becomes landscape. Each year we built digitally responsive environments across the festival grounds, mixing generative systems with physical materials, blurring the line between digital and analog.
Within the ancient ruins of Montemore-o-Velho, GABBA.TV directed the Festival Gardens programme, defining its curatorial vision and creating immersive social designs. Each edition introduced new thematic frameworks and hybrid installations that evolved with the festival’s narrative, creating a living environment where technology, environment, and social imagination converged.
Working closely with the University of Coimbra, GABBA.TV also curated space on the grounds for local students to exhibit coded generative works alongside international artists such as Raven Kwok and Casey Reas, embedding education directly into the festival’s creative fabric.
Every edition carried a new rhythm. Themes shifted, structures morphed, installations evolved, the site itself felt alive. At its heart, Festival Forte has always been a dialogue between technology and human experience, where code becomes form, and the night itself transforms into experience.
