First edition. São Paulo. Sixteen thousand people and forty-eight hours of sound, light and motion.

For this one, GABBA.TV provided the live visual performance, commissioned by the festival’s German prodiucers at Time Warp, Mannheim, recognised worldwide for defining the international techno scene. Conceived as a high-tech, post-apocalyptic environment, the event space Cave 2.0, reimagined what an event space could be, transformed into a cavernous structure where light, sound and visuals merged into a single, continuous audiovisual experience.

Working hand-in-hand every night with ’Lumpy’, Richie Hawkins chief lighting designer, GABBA.TV synchronised every visual layer with the rhythm and architecture of the night. Generative visuals spilled out across the main LED wall, built to react in real time, raw, fluid, chaotic and unpredictable.

The idea is simple, no separation between artist, audience and environment. When everything is locked in, the music, the visuals, the stage, the room becomes one organism and that’s the moment everyone remembers.
